Mission Accomplished at Judith Arts Society The story from Dennis Stroughmatt (pictured) is that he was doing a Merle Haggard song that was written by Merle’s wife, Leona Williams. Leona Williams used to be married to Ron Williams, and they had a son who became a close friend of Dennis’. The son told Dennis that since he was going to Montana, he should try and find the place where his dad Ron used to play music. He remembered visiting his dad in Montana, and there was a river. Dennis joked that is wasn’t much to go on, but he would try. He hadn’t mentioned it at any of the shows, but felt compelled to mention it in Hobson. One of the audience members (Misty Annala) raised her hand and said she played in a band with Ron Williams in the early 80’s in Great Falls MT at the J-T nightclub. After the concert, Dennis called his friend and sure enough, that was the place! Only in Montana……
